CWA LOCAL 7050 GRIEVANCE REQUEST FORM

Before you proceed there are a few quotes from our Contract, Article 9, Section 1 (found in links).

". . .No grievance shall be considered. . .unless a meeting regarding the grievance is requested in writing within sixty (60) calendar days of the action or failure to act which is the subject of the grievance"

The form below will be printed, and discussed with the submitter by a Union Steward before it is assigned a Local Grievance Number.   Only AFTER that, will this be considered a FILED GRIEVANCE.  Then a

". . .written request"  for " . . .a meeting to discuss the grievance shall be held promptly, but not later than fourteen (14) calandar days after receipt by the Company of the grievance"

And

"The decision of Management shall be confirmed in writing within fourteen (14) calendar days of the close of the grievance meeting"

Two Points here:

  1. Depending on schedules, it may take several days for the Union Steward to contact you.  If the Incident happened more than 50 calendar days ago you can not use these forms, you must see a steward to file your grievance.

  2. The Company can take the full 14 days to schedule the meeting.  And the Meeting itself is prone to recesses and delays, so the Steward probably will not have immediate answers or a remedy for you.  We will keep you informed along the way.

Remember,  if it's been more than 50 calendar days since the incident you CAN NOT use these forms, please see a steward.

You can use the "Printable" grievance form, fill in all the boxes, at the end of the page press the PRINT button, print it, then bring it to a steward.

"Submit" your grievance directly to the hall via email, and then a steward will contact you.
